A plus size cami bra is one of the most versatile garments that a woman can have.  I believe that they are best worn three different ways. 

First, I like to wear them under my outerwear.  It’s great because it is supportive, light and unrestricting.  I usually pair my white cami bra with my blue cardigan and a scarf.  It is casual, comfortable and cute.

I also wear my plus size cami bras under my sheer tops.  I have a lot of see through dresses and tops that I wear when I go out and wearing a cami bra underneath them covers up but keeps me warm.  It also looks fashionable because it can give me a layered look. 

The third way I like to wear my cami bra is to bed.  Some girls say that wearing a bra to bed prevents sagging.  Although wearing a bra all the time is known to cause chest pain and in some cases breast cancer, wearing it sometimes is okay.  

So pick up a plus size cami bra and add it to any outfit for a very cute and layered look.

Body mass index also known as BMI is an important indicator of how much body fat you have in relation to your height and weight.  It is a clear sign of whether someone is overweight or obese, obesity being the worst of the two.  Being obese means that a person has an excessive accumulation of body fat.  How does body mass index tell you if you are obese?  It follows this equation:  body weight/height squared.  


If your body mass index is 25-30 you are overweight.  If your body mass index is 30 and higher you are running the risk of being obese. Plus size women can have the normal body mass index.  Just because we are plus size does not mean we are overweight or obese. But all of our goals should be to be in the 18.5-24.9 range, so we can look great in our plus size women's clothing.

Crash dieting is the quick way to lose a few pounds.  Many celebrities crash diet to fit into their red carpet dresses before their premiers and award shows.  Although it may sound like a good idea there are a lot of cons to dieting this way.  By not eating you rob your body of natural nutrients that are good for your body such as vitamins, minerals, proteins, and carbohydrates.  Without these nutrients your body becomes weak, making it easier to become sick.  In order for your muscles to stay strong and healthy you need to feed them with the nutrients that come in food. 

Another con of crash dieting is the slowing down of your metabolism. If your metabolism is running slow your body will not be able to burn fat and fat calories, which is how you lose weight.   Therefore, although you will not gain any weight during your crash diet, you lose muscle mass, so when you begin to eat normally again it will be a lot easier for you to gain weight because your metabolism is already running slow.    

The pros of crash dieting are few.  You will lose pounds in a short amount of time, making you appear thinner. In reality you are not ridding your body of fat, just of some extra pounds.  So if you are looking to lose weight crash dieting is not the way.  The best way to keep the weight off is to eat in smaller portions throughout the day, alongside a good workout in your plus size cami bra

It’s time to bring out your boots and put the sandals away.  Boots will keep your feet warm while you’re outside in the cold.  There are different types of winter boots: short and long.  The new look for boots are moccasins, stiletto, suede, and motorcycle style boots. Moccasins should be worn with plaid clothing, while stiletto boots look best with shorts, jeans, long dresses and plus size leggings.  Suede boots go perfectly with short dresses, bubble and ruffled dresses.  Motorcycle boots look terrific with your plus size leggings and a loose fitted blouse.

I recently saw a pair of Marc Jacob boots that I think any woman could pull off. I had to purchase them and found that they were not only cute, but really comfortable.

Dancing is not only fun but is also a great way to improve your health.   Dancing is a great workout for a plus size woman because there are many different levels of dance forms.  You should start off with a dance that moves at a slower pace and work your way up.  Take a beginner dance class; it is more likely that you will be taught steps that are easy for anyone.  Something like a basic hip hop class is perfect for a plus size woman because the moves do not require you to flip, dip, or do extraneous moves.  Hip hop classes incorporate fat burning moves into their routines, which is a great weight loss exercise. Once you have mastered this class, move onto something a bit more vigorous, like jazz.  Jazz requires a dancer to have the ability to balance, leap, and be flexible.  Jazz dancer’s legs, abdomen, and buttocks are toned and lean.  The motions in the exercise force your muscles to tense, and become sculpted.   

Strip tease classes are the newest fad in the dance world.  It is an extremely hard class, but makes women feel sexy.  With the sexy moves, not only are you burning calories, but boosting your confidence.  With a great pair of plus size leggings and a plus size cami bra you’ll look great while burning those calories.  Most importantly, dance classes are fun, a great way to meet people, and leave you feeling energized.

Five middle schools in New York City are trying out a new fitness program for their students. Four hours a week, 25 students do yoga and other fitness activities after school, seeing if incorporating the Nintendo Wii into a fitness program is viable. Nintendo is backing this trial, donating all of the necessary equipment. If the program is a success, it can spread state-wide, with the help of private funding.
