Thanksgiving is finally over and I don’t really know how to feel. I miss the food but I’m not too happy with the extra three pounds I added on. The gym was ridiculously crowded this weekend by all the people trying to burn off the pounds of food they ate. I kept getting overlooked when waiting for the machines. I don’t know if people just didn’t see me waiting or because I was a plus size woman and ignored me. But I couldn’t go without a workout, I felt so heavy with all the fat I still hadn’t worked off. I drove back home, got to work and moved some stuff around in my living room to make space to workout. I put on my favorite workout DVD, “Work Out With A Big Attitude” and got to work. It was great. I could feel my body working, burning off the fat that I desperately wanted to go away. I didn’t even need to wear shoes with my plus size leggings because my floor is carpet. I was comfortable through the entire workout and I haven’t skipped a workout since. The workout was great and the environment even better. I really wish they made more workout videos for plus size women. It’s a lot easier for us to work out in the comfort of our home then take a drive to the gym where people aren’t always too friendly. If you aren’t taking yourself to the gym I highly suggest you buy a few workout videos targeted for plus size women. It is designed to fit our needs and helps keep us active, healthy and best of all happy.
Skinny jeans are a huge hit this winter season. There is so many ways to wear skinny
jeans. You can dress up with skinny
jeans and wear them to the club or throw on a pair of sandals to go run
errands. The thing about plus size
women’s clothing is that there is not much variety. Although the plus size fashion market is
increasing I don’t think that designers really give us much option to expand
our style.
For example, I only own one pair of skinny jeans and
not because the store didn’t have my size but because the store only had one
style of these jeans. I asked the
stylist if they would be getting any new styles in and she said that was the
only pair in the entire catalog. I
really could not fathom why women’s plus size clothing designers would only
design one pair of skinny jeans. Is it
not okay for a plus size woman to wear skinny jeans? I kept asking myself this question trying to
figure out why I am only able to own on pair of my favorite type of jeans. After thinking about this the whole way home,
I told myself I wasn’t going to dwell on fact but find different ways to wear
my jeans.
I wear my jeans everywhere, especially because of the
cold winter season. It’s easy to layer
anything with a pair of skinnies. You
can wear plus size leggings under for added warmth with your jeans tucked into
your boots. Skinny jeans look great with
pumps, a plus size cami bra, scarf, and pea coat on top. If you are going for a classier look you can
wear skinny jeans with a pair of boots, pumps, or booties and a blazer on top
of a plus size cami bra.
The different ways that I wear my skinny jeans make
them look like a different pair each time. They fit my body great and paired with any of my plus size clothing
makes a great stylish outfit.
Okay so most of us have that one favorite plain top that we wear under everything. It’s the top in our closet that is most versatile. My favorite top has always been my plain cotton tank top; I have it in both white and black. I’ve been able to wear it under clothes, jackets and paired with great accessories it has always made a chic outfit. I started wearing this plus size cami bra that I got as a gift and I love it. It’s as versatile as my tank top. I’ve worn it under my blazer to work, under my lace top, and with a cute scarf it looked great under my leather motorcycle jacket. But the best thing about the cami is that it has a built in bra. It’s very supportive and there is no need to wear a regular bra underneath my plus size cami. I’ve even used my plus size cami bra to workout. The quality of the fabric is very durable, supportive and comfortable, perfect to exercise in. So which one do I like better? Although I’ve been very loyal to my tank top I think it’s time to move on. This cami bra has way more to offer and goes great with everything in my closet. Cami Bras are a perfect top, great to wear during a workout and with any of my outfits.
Start walking to improve your health. Research has proven that walking upwards of
10,000 steps a day can improve your health drastically. You can easily burn 400 calories during a
10,000 step walk. You might want to
start by using a pedometer while you walk. Pedometers count how many steps you take and some even count how many
calories you burn. If you are going somewhere
that is walking distance don’t drive, instead walk in your plus size capri pants.
You can even use walking as a stress reliever because
it gives you time to think. While you
walk you should pump your arms for more of a workout. Find excuses to walk. Take your dog for a long walk, or push your
kids in a stroller around the park.
By walking 10,000 or more steps a day you can improve
your health in many ways. You can reduce
high cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, and reduce the risk of colon
cancer. Walking helps reduce body fat,
and helps strengthen muscles decreasing the chances of osteoporosis. Best of all, by walking you are able to spend
quality time with yourself or your loved ones, keeping you fit and overall
happy.
